Considered to be one of the most annoying zombies in UAC, the Leaper can jump long distances to close in on their targets and attack. It can often affect players who are not paying attention to their character the most. Leapers may also hatch from a Larva Cocoon that a parasite morphs into.

Engagement & Tactics[]
The leaper is significantly more threatening to soldiers who pick the VT SI because the leaper can quickly move to them and then kill them in 1-2 hits. Leapers can also cause friendly fire from bullet splash damage by immediately closing in on a soldier that is deeper into a defensive formation, which may result in accidental friendly fire. These factors make the leaper a potential hazard to the squad, so the Squad Designated Marksman should pick these off from a distance before they get within leaping distance of the team when possible. Rifle butt can act as an effective deterrent of leaper strikes.
